Job Overview

We seek dedicated, hardworking individuals to join our family farm operation in Neepawa, Manitoba. As a farm technician/worker, you will play a crucial role in our agricultural operations, assisting in various tasks to ensure the successful planting, growing, and harvesting of crops such as wheat, canola, soybeans, beans, sunflowers and corn.

 Duties

•      Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers

•      Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed

•      Maintain quality control and production records

•      Schedule and maintain farm machinery

•      Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations

•      Perform general farm duties

•      Operate and maintain farming machinery and equipment

•      Assist in field preparation, planting, spraying and harvesting crops

 Qualifications

 •      Previous experience in farming or agriculture is preferred.

•      Ability to work long hours in busy season (Aug to November) outdoor conditions, with physical stamina and a strong work ethic.

•      Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of farm machinery is an asset.

•      Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

•      A valid driver’s license is required; Class 1 license is an asset.

•      Ability to work independently and take initiative when needed.
