Key Responsibilities:
Client Assessment & Personalized Treatment Plans: Conduct thorough range of motion and muscle tests to assess each client’s unique needs, creating individualized treatment plans that deliver optimal results.
Clear Communication & Client Education: Explain procedures, risks, and benefits to clients in an approachable way, ensuring they are fully informed and comfortable throughout their therapeutic journey.
Expert Massage Techniques: Apply a range of specialized massage techniques including soft tissue manipulation, relaxation methods, hydrotherapy, trigger point therapy, joint pain relief, lower grade mobilizations, and more. Design and implement remedial exercise programs to further support your clients’ healing.
Home Care & Self-Care Guidance: Provide clients with valuable home care instructions, offering techniques for postural improvement, stretching, strengthening, relaxation, and rehabilitative exercises. Empower clients with the tools to continue their progress outside of the therapy room.
Accurate Record Keeping: Maintain detailed, up-to-date records of all treatments provided, tracking progress and tailoring future treatments to meet evolving needs.
Collaborative Care: Work in partnership with other healthcare professionals such as physiotherapists, chiropractors, physicians, and psychologists to develop and refine holistic treatment plans for clients.
Employment Requirements:
Completion of an 18- to 24-month (or 18- to 36-month) accredited massage therapy program, including a period of supervised practical training.
Registration with a regulatory body is required in Newfoundland and Labrador, Ontario, and British Columbia.
Trained and proficient in a wide variety of specialized massage techniques to address a broad range of client needs.
Working Hours:
Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Compensation:
Competitive salary range of $38,000 - $57,000 per year
