As a Truck Driver, you are responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently across long-haul and trans-border routes using flatbed and tractor-trailer equipment. The role focuses on ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining full compliance with transportation regulations and industry safety standards. It involves strategic route planning with GPS and navigation systems to enhance fuel efficiency and reduce environmental impact. Strong mountain driving skills and attention to vehicle conditions are essential to maintain safe operations in varying road and weather conditions. The position supports reliable logistics operations and contributes to overall transportation efficiency and service excellence.
Responsibilities:

Estimate and coordinate costs related to vehicle
repairs and replacement parts, as required.
- ·
Plan and modify travel routes based on road,
weather, and traffic conditions using GPS, computerized systems, and navigation
tools to optimize fuel efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
- ·
Respond promptly and professionally to customer
inquiries, concerns, and service-related issues.
- ·
Demonstrate strong mountain driving skills and
operate vehicles safely in challenging terrain and weather conditions.
- ·
Coordinate travel schedules, prepare
itineraries, and arrange necessary reservations when required.
- ·
Secure special permits, customs documentation,
and other required authorizations for cross-border or international cargo
transport.
- ·
Operate and drive straight-body or articulated
tractor-trailer trucks to transport goods and materials safely and efficiently.
- ·
Monitor and maintain vehicle condition by
inspecting tires, brakes, lights, refrigeration units, and other mechanical
components.
- ·
Perform minor maintenance tasks, including brake
adjustments and basic mechanical checks.
- ·
Conduct comprehensive pre-trip, en route, and
post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and regulatory compliance.
- ·
Communicate effectively with dispatch by
receiving and transmitting relevant trip and delivery information.
- ·
Maintain accurate records of cargo details,
hours of service, mileage, and fuel usage in compliance with regulatory
requirements.
- ·
Secure loads using tarps, straps, and other
equipment to ensure cargo safety and stability during transport.
- · Transport and handle dangerous goods in accordance with applicable safety regulations and certification requirements.
Requirements:
