Job Description
Ela! Greek Taverna is looking for an experienced Line Cook for our restaurant located at 150 Hector Gate, Dartmouth Crossing, Dartmouth B3B 0E6.
The ideal candidate must have:
- Good knowledge of English
- At least 2 years of work experience , preferably in Greek
kitchen
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Duties of the position:
- Determine
the size of food portions and costs
- Plan
menus and estimate food requirements for their realization
- Prepare
and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
- Prepare
dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
- Inspect
kitchens and food service areas
- Train
staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
- Order
supplies and equipment
- Supervise
kitchen staff and helpers
- Maintain
inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
- Clean kitchen and work areas
Salary is between $18 to $20 depends the experience for full time employment of at least 32 hours per week.
